    ANDERS JAKOBSON LAASTAD was born at Lostad on Osteroy. He became a Sergeant in the Army, and at some time rented a farm at Njastad on Osteroy. Later he had a farm at Lotveit.

    ANNA KRISTINE STRAND was born in Bergen. Anders and Anna were married in Cross Church, Bergen.

    Anders was Lensman (Police Officer) for Lindaas from 1835 till his death. He was an Elector or reserve ("supplianter") from 1838 to 1859, alongside his son-in-law Erik Arnesen Riisnaes for some of the time.

    BERTA MALENE married (1852) Jakob Hendriksen Syslak (b 1821). They lived at Syslak in Lindaas and had 11 children. Jakob died in 1870.

    MAGDALENA married (1854) her cousin (see 34) Jakob Johannes-sen Antun (or Njastad) (b 1834). They lived at Brundtland and had 9 children, 3 of whom died in infancy.

    HANS JAKOB married (1857) Ragnele Jakobsdtr Maraas (b 1832). They lived at Lotveit and had 11 children, several of whom died in their teens from tuberculosis. Hans was Assistant Police Officer to his father, and then took over as Lensman of Lindaas until 1880.

    JAKOB married (1858) Synneva Larsdtr Grimstad (b 1837). They lived at Sjurset and had 11 children.

    OLINA married (1859) Lars Gudmundsen Konglevoll (b 1832). They lived at Treland and had 9 children. Later they moved to Loddefjord.

    INGEBRIGT MARTIN married (1865) Ingrid Tomasdtr (b 1838) from Sogn. They lived at Lindasklokkeren and had 4 children.
