FRIEDRICH WILHELM TUCHSEN was born in Bergen. He joined the army in Bergen by 1720, and on 12 Nov 1725 was promoted to 1st Lieutenant in Romelings Infantry Regiment. On 24 Nov 1727 he was promoted Captain in the 1st Bergenhus Regiment and Commander of Y Sogn Company. He may have been promoted to Major in 1744.

    His first wife's Christian name is unknown. (One report gives it as Karen Marie but this may be due to confusion with her daughter). She is said to be a daughter of Hans Jorgen Weinmann by his first wife Elisabeth (see 271); however she could possibly have been born after his second marriage. After she died Friedrich married one of Anders Daae's daughters (see 132), and they apparently lived at Sande in Sogn.

    CHRISTIAN FRIEDRICH followed his father into the army, and became a Captain in the 1st Bergenhus Regiment. He married twice and had 6 children, one of which (Olave Marie, b 16 Dec 1777) married Ove Christian Leyrdahl Daae (see 66).

    MICHAEL SUNDT was educated at Bergen Cathedral School. In 1775 he became personal chaplain to his uncle Ludvig Daae at Lindaas (see 66). In 1785 he became resident chaplain at Vik, and in 1789 vicar at the Bergen hospital. He married (18 Oct 1786) Anne Harboe Frimann, born 12 Nov 1743 in Bergen. They had no children. Anne died 19 Nov 1831. A plaque in Kvamso Church commemorates Michael's 41 years of service to the church, and another commemorates his wife.

    ANDERS was also educated at Bergen Cathedral School, start-ing in 1759, the same year as his elder brother. When his aunt Christine Gron (see 132) died at Saebo in 1782, he helped to sell the estate. He remained unmarried.
