Why Sarah Jane?
The origin of Sarah Jane Reinhardt's name.
My grandfather was Leonard(1) Chattaway. He and his
brother had a grocery store in Black Diamond, PA. The other brother, Harold,
had a grocery store in Monongahela, PA and their sister, Rose Chattaway
Bondash, had a bakery for years at 4th and Main in
Monongahela, it was called Bondash’s. I know they came from England, and
my grandmothers name was Lydia Jane Clee…her family came from Wales. My
grandmother named me Sarah after her mother and Jane after her.
1. In US Census forms dating from 1900, the given name is spelled Lenard.
